Haviva Malina, MD

Doctors

Dr. Haviva Malina, a licensed Emergency Medicine physician with over 15 years of ER experience, became a proponent of ketamine therapy after witnessing its transformative effects on patients with treatment resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mood disorders. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College of Columbia University and earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completing her residency training at the combined Jacobi/ Montefiore EM Program. Dr. Malina later worked as an attending physician at Hoboken University Medical Center, New Jersey.

Dr. Malina’s interest in ketamine therapy was spurred by her experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she observed an increase in acute psychiatric cases and recognized the urgent need for more effective treatments. Motivated by the need for effective mood disorder treatments, she founded Keta Medical Center. Dr. Malina champions the benefits of ketamine and its ability to provide substantial improvements in patients’ functionality and well-being. At her clinic, she ensures a supportive environment, collaborates on comprehensive treatment plans, and advocates for better access to therapies like Spravato.

Dr. Malina is deeply committed to patient safety, personalized care, and holistic treatment. She finds great satisfaction in the positive transformations she witnesses in her patients, valuing the continuous care and strong relationships she builds with them. Through her work at Keta Medical Center, Dr. Malina continues to advance mental health care, offering hope and healing to those battling mood disorders.

Cheryl Malina, MD

Dr. Cheryl Malina, a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician, is the co-founder of Keta Medical Center. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Malina has practiced extensively in hospitals across the Bronx and Westchester. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College at Columbia University and earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completing her residency at the Jacobi/Montefiore EM Program. Dr. Malina later moved to attending physician roles at several hospitals, most recently as an attending physician at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York.

Dr. Malina’s interest in ketamine therapy was sparked during the COVID-19 pandemic, as she observed a surge in acute psychiatric cases. Impressed by the rapid, positive changes ketamine brought in patients she became a strong advocate for its use in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

In her practice, Dr. Malina combines her emergency medicine expertise with a passion for mental health innovation, ensuring the highest safety standards and personalized care. She is committed to improving access to ketamine therapy, working tirelessly with insurance companies to cover treatments such as Spravato and reduce out-of-pocket costs for patients. Dr. Malina is driven by the significant improvements she witnesses in her patients—many of whom rediscover joy and well-being after treatment—making her a dedicated proponent of this transformative therapy.

Dr. Ariel Heller, Psychiatrist

Dr. Heller is a compassionate and skilled Board-certified adult psychiatrist currently practicing at Holy Name Medical Center. With over two years of experience in adult psychiatry, she brings a strong background in mental health care, supported by a four-year psychiatry residency at Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Heller earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience from Queens College.

Dr. Heller approaches her patients with compassion and empathy. Her approach focuses on the goals of her patients and assists her patients in finding the most practical solutions in reaching their best selves.

Dr. Faith Consiglio, Psychiatrist

Dr. Faith Consiglio, Psychiatrist

Dr. Consiglio is a board-certified psychiatrist with a strong background in psychotherapy and mindfulness-based approaches, Dr. Consiglio brings a wealth of experience in mental health care. She completed her residency at Westchester Medical Center and has worked extensively in outpatient psychiatry, previously practicing at NYC Psychiatric Associates. Her expertise includes the integration of evidence-based treatments with holistic modalities, such as mindfulness-based stress reduction and psychodynamic therapy.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Consiglio is passionate about lifelong learning and innovative approaches to mental health. She is a published author, a member of the International Society for Sports Psychiatry, and has a diverse academic background that includes research in the long-term effects of COVID-19 on mental health.

Stacey Blume Frankel, LMSW, Lead Psychotherapist

Stacey Blume Frankel LMSW

Stacey has a Master Degree in Social Work from UCLA and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan. She has extensive experience working with a wide range of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, general life transitions, spiritual emergencies and exploring the subconscious mind through dream analysis.

Stacey sees herself as a compassionate partner in the therapeutic relationship. Her approach to Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)  is primarily based on a relational and insight-oriented perspective but she also incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Jungian Analysis, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, Transpersonal, and Somatic therapies. Using a strengths-based, holistic, client-centered approach, she empowers individuals to embrace their healing journeys with new tools and action-oriented steps that lead to lasting emotional relief.

Hillary Eastman, LCSW, Social Worker

Hillary Eastman

Hillary is a highly experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a wealth of expertise in mental health care, having worked in outpatient, inpatient, and residential treatment settings across New York and Texas. She specializes in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, helping individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

Hillary has a strong background in psychosocial evaluations, crisis management, and individualized treatment planning. Her compassionate approach aligns perfectly with our mission at Keta Medical Center.
